The Moriki Shuzōjō brewery was founded in 1897 but despite its long history was only barely kept
alive by the enormous efforts of the owner/headbrewer couple Moriki Hideki and Rumiko. They have
turned a run-of-the-mill local brewery into a bastion of pure sake and traditional brewing methods. As equal partners, the line-up of sake for which Rumiko bears final responsibility comes under the name ‘Rumiko no Sake’ (and a famous manga-esque label), Hideki’s bear the name ‘Hanabusa’.
